Yes, it has alot of calories and fat...but none of the fat is from oil, shortening, butter...it is all Natural...the good kind of fat...that keeps you feeling full all day. As far as the calories you can't have on without the other. A good rule of thumb is to eat 600 calories a meal, excersice and snack healthy. You need fat in your diet to be healthy just the good kind like this has.
I forgot to mention...when I make this I add fiber...throw in a couple Tablespoons of flaxseed, wheat germ or bran.
