Fresh Berry Sorbet

You don't need a fancy sorbet maker for this frozen dessert--just a shallow pan. Be sure to use perfectly ripe strawberries in season.

Ingredients

Serves: Prep:  15min |Cook: 0min |Total: 4hr 35min
              

Directions

In a blender or food processor, combine the strawberries, raspberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Process until pureed. Pour the mixture into a large, shallow pan. Freeze for 4 hours, or until solid.

Cut the fruit mixture into chunks and return it to the blender or food processor. Process again until pureed. Spoon the sorbet into 8 serving bowls.

Freeze for 20 minutes, or until the mixture is solid but still soft enough to eat with a spoon.
